Dave has opened for such legendary performers as Styx, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepard, REO Speedwagon, Montgomery Gentry, Cheap Trick, Blue Oyster Cult, The Offspring, Steppin’ Wolf and the list goes on.

In addition to a regular schedule of live gigs and studio sessions, Dave also maintains a private studio, where he instructs students of all ages and experience levels. In his instruction, Dave focuses on the basics, stating, “I’m a firm believer in fundamental sticking and groove, both are extremely important.”

Dave is a very adaptable player, and has been a freelance drummer and percussionist in the Phoenix area for over thirteen years. Dave has played in numerous bands of different styles such as rock, funk, blues, jazz, country, calypso, reggae, oldies, and several symphonic settings. In addition he also toured for two years with a top twelve drum and bugle corps being instructed by two of the most respected marching drum instructors in the country. “I believe this is where I gained my work ethic”, Dave explains, “This was a highly competitive environment, and there were musical changes daily, I was expected to work very hard to execute these changes and perform them nightly.”****
